Add Pop of Color

We all need a pop of color in our lives sometimes. Same goes for our home decor. So for KOEL Issue 9, it was crystal clear we needed to meet up with cheery fiber artist Eva Verbruggen. Eva runs her studio from her beautiful home atelier in Antwerp, Belgium. She published some wonderful craft books. And since a few years, Eva developed a passion for punch needling, preferably organic and abstract shapes. According to Eva, when it comes to the art of punch needling real challenge lies in designing eye catching and timeless patterns. But Eva happily accepted our challenge to create a set of striking cushions that bring a pop of color to our interiors.

“EVA’S CUSHIONS WORK BEAUTIFULLY WITH THE CHOCOLATE TONE VINTAGE CHAIRS”

The color palette of Eva’s cushions works beautifully with our chocolate tone vintage chairs and black marble table. When you start on your own cushions, use Eva’s pattern as a guide. However, we encourage your to choose your own colors, shapes and positioning, or experiment with different backing fabrics.
