The Best of Chinese cuisine in Singapore

If and when you decide to visit the Sunny island of Singapore (I highly recommend it) it’s the perfect time for you to try authentic Chinese cuisine. Of course there’s lots of choices on this tiny island alone, but if you’re looking for the best all round experience in terms of both food and ambience, then read on because here’s my recommendation.

Having lived in Asia for close to 10 years, I’ve had my fair share of Asian food, whether it’s Malay, Indian or Chinese cuisine.. all very yummy in their own ways! That’s one of the perks of living in Singapore, a place with such a strong foodie culture.

With it’s many outlets across the island, Imperial Treasure serves a wide array of delicious Chinese dishes with specialities such as their Beijing Style Roasted Duck being the highlight of their menu at the Marina Bay Sands outlet. Dining with a view, what can be better than that! Whether you are a visitor or live here in Singapore, make sure to pop by for some superb food while you tour the area – not to be missed when you’re here.

Along with the Roasted Duck, we tried their Double Boiled Fish Maw Soup, Steamed Crab Claw with Chinese Wine & Egg White, Steamed Pork Dumpling “Siew Mai”, Deep Fried Yam Puff among many others!

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, make sure you order the Steamed Custard Bun and Chilled Aloe Vera Jelly with Strawberries. Both left us wanting more but seeing that we had already gone through everything else, it was just not physically possible to keep going.

If you are traveling and feel intimidated trying a new cuisine or don’t know what to order, the friendly staff will always help with recommendations. As a foreigner this is one thing that stands out to me! You always want to make sure you are trying to best and the only way is to get expert advice.

After your meal, make sure to have a look around the Marina Bay Sands area, there’s so much to see and now that your tummy is full of delicious treats, you are reenergised for more walking and exploring! Have fun!
