Project #124: Valentine love message handkerchief

DIY love message handkerchief by Véronique from Pichouline

With valentine on it’s way and leaving my husband and kids behind for 5 weeks I wanted to give a personal soft gift…..

I’ve made one for my husband and one for my kids….

What you'll need:
*adhesive flock foil
*square paper
*punch or you can draw your own design

Step 1: to make the handkerchief
Draw your design on the non adhesive side of the flock foil and cut it out and/or use a punch.
I printed out my drawing and just went over it with a pencil so you see the marks in the foil and you can easily cut it out.
Follow the instructions of the manufacturer. Normally you have to do the following steps: Put the non adhesive glossy layer on top, put a piece of baking paper between the flock foil and iron. Push for +/- 30 seconds. Let it cool down. Take off the plastic layer of your flock foil. Ready

Step 2: to make the origami envelope
I used a paper of 21x21cm. If you have available it’s better to use a bigger size of paper, for example 36x36cm, so your envelope will be bigger and easier to use.
Fold the paper in half. Crease and unfold. Follow step 1-15
Make it twice and insert the second one into the first.
Write or stamp your message inside the envelope.

Step 3:
Fold your handkerchief and put it in the origami envelope.

Perfect valentine gift or a goodbye present for your beloved ones!
