Giveaway: a clutch from Grace Design

Welcome Grace Design, we're happy you are doing a giveaway with us!

What you can win this week :: this lovely clutch from Grace Design. It is made from a vintage silk kimono, hand dyed in Japan and shibori tie dye in vibrant purple and orange. It is also from the NOMAD Collection, which is all about found fabrics, travel and adventure.

What you have to do :: leave a comment below telling us – what is your dream destination – if you could go anywhere in the universe for a week, where would you go?

NOMAD was started over ten years ago after Alison (the creator of Grace Design), having returned from India with a backpack full of sari silk, was looking for a unique way to share her experiences from abroad. To this day she still lovingly gathers textiles from around the world to use in her designs. NOMAD is a collection of accessories made from found, limited edition textiles that have been sourced through Alison’s travels.

My Grandpa Fred met her there when he was a soldier, and when the war was over walked 200 miles to see her again and propose! They married and lived happily ever after until his passing last year. The most beautiful place in the world: Siwa!
It is the smallest oasis of Egypt. When I was ten years old, I was there with my parents. And since then I dreamt of returning one day. Its such a paradisiac, fascinating, exotic and even historical place.
When we where there, my mother bought a traditional wedding scarf. As a teenager I often wore it secretly without the allowance of my mother. One day, a few years later, she gave the scarf to me. Till now this scarf is a very valuable treasure to me. It reminds me of my mother, my childhood, my teenage and – Siwa!
