Design Your Own Sweater :: Toto Knits

Having been born in Kenya, I have a deep and very soft spot in my heart for it. When I received an email from Erin Brennan Allan the founder of Toto Knits, a line of organic cotton knitwear ethically made by a group of single mother's in Kenya – I didn't hesitate in wanting to spread the word about what Erin is doing for the women there.

Toto Knits inspiration which includes sarfari and farm animal sweaters, classic sweaters, hats, blankets, and booties comes from their surroundings in the African bush and of course, the totos (children) who wear them. Their knitwear is made of super soft organic cotton from Uganda and spun in Nairobi using bio friendly dyes.

Right now, Toto Knits is offering you the opprotunity to design your own sweater! I designed the two above, and think the idea is a fabulous one, not to mention by creating your own sweater or purchasing an item from their shop, you are contributing to the success of Kenyan women.
