My children and I feel very lucky to live down the street from the Wyeth family homestead and a short drive away from the Brandywine River Museum (Chadds Ford, PA) which houses a wealth of N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth and Jamie Wyeth artwork, as well as that of other local artists. We are members of this museum and visit often. On nice weather days, our visit always concludes with a picnic along Brandywine Creek next to Helen, a 400 pound sculpture of a pig.

I think the funnest project we have done is pudding painting! It is inspiring to see little ones create out of pure imagination.

Unfortunately my son is not much into art so we’ve never had any “Inspiring” art moments 🙂 He does love when I paint his feet and make them into bumble bees. Great giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity.

My daughter and I went to the new Children’s Museum of Art in NYC a couple of weeks ago. Great museum in general, but one particular exhibit was intended to teach children how to create their own stop motion animations using computer software, hand drawn illustrations and a camcorder. My daughter drew a rabbit and watching her face light up at the site of her hand drawn rabbit coming to life as an animation was priceless :)!

Wow either one would be great- the best art exhibit I have shared with my kids was actually their annual elementary school art show- every year it is astounding to see the entire school transformed by their artwork.

My daughter, husband and I love to do art projects together. We just finish a canvas painting that we all painted something on. We painted all of our hands and pressed it on the canvas, we did my 3mth olds sons little hand, and our dogs paw too! It came out so amazing. And everytime people come over and comment on it, my daughter is so excited to tell them all about it! So thats our best art project yet!

We lI’ve to make books together. My daughter (4) will draw the pictures and then ask me how to spell the words. We the find creative ways to bind the books and add them to her library.

The most memorable art exhibit we’ve seen was one by Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama. The whole building was covered in brights dots and then inside entire rooms with all sorts of visual effects. Amazing and they loved it.

Great give-away! The most impressive art experience the kids and me had was in Netherlands when we visited the sculpture garden in the Kröller-Müller Museum. The kids loved running from one sculpture to another, being able to enter them, touch them and look at the environment from a different perspective. After we got home my son spend hours and days building towers with his duplo..inspired by the artworks he had not just seen, but explored and experienced. Really great!

Really beautiful and colourful! We’re still at the beginning of our art journey, but my daughter lately has really enjoyed scribbling on her blackboard with coloured chalk and making drawings together with her talented daddy. This week we brought Autumn leaves to her preschool, and I’m looking forward to finding out what the children made with them!

The most inspiring project we’ve done together was a photography project. I handed over my camera and let my son photograph things throughout his day. The pictures were wonderful!

lovely prints! my two children love to create art. the most inspiring moments are when I drag the easel outdoors and let them paint outside in nature.

Love the prints! My daughter is 1,8 months now, she’s really into drawing and reading these days,we do that a lot!

I love walking through our local art gallery with my little one. One of the first art works we saw was one with 4 squares, each about a foot wide, each of a different solid colour. They were different textures and had various sized holes cute through them. Fascinating for a little baby to stare at!

Well I never take on real “art” or doing any real “Art” exhibition with my daughter, but I’m quite proud when she had an exhibition on her playgroup. I know lots of her flowers are loopsided, her paintings are scribbles, but I love and proud of her! Speaking of art, I once did pottery making together. We made a poor looking crocodile. LOL, is that count?

Our most inspiring time together was visiting the Honolulu Academy of Art and wandering around together.

  19. Linda Meyers-Gabbard

    Unfortunately I was never
Blessed with children but I do have two nieces.
The most inspiring art I have seen is my mothers
She quilts, sews, paints and can do just about anything with
    Yarn or thread and needles

Her quilts and handbags are works of art
