Our new home in Kuala Lumpur

What do you think… you like my new living room? I'm super happy, exhausted and excited…. last SUnday the big move to our new place here in KL finally took place. All our furniture and boxes made it safe and sound to their new place.

I really love the open, bright and spacious feel of the new living room… and yes pinching myself to be so lucky to call this place 'home' for the next couple of years. My mom says we deserve it after working hard for the last 15 years, but I still feel very very lucky!

The next couple of days I will be busy unpacking, decorating and putting everything in place. So my posts will be there but not on a regular base like normal…. but please come back for more updates of our new place and Tiffany will be posting too!

Just wondering do you like to move house? I have done it 8 times in the last 11 years and still find it exhasuting but very rewarding and fun… irene xoxo

Oh my gosh! Moving house is tiring. I don’t enjoy it, but I do enjoy the feeling right after you’ve moved in and everything is in its place.

Congratulations on the move! Looking forward to seeing it all put together. Moving is exhausting, but at the same time, it’s exciting to construct a new space and to create something that’s a little different than what you had before.

Moving house is exhausted…but exciting to have your own home :D…love yr living room!

Wow, your living room is so light and spacious – happy days!
I am about to move for the 10th time in eleven years – and I have lost count of all the moves before coming to Australia!
Certain parts of moving are such a chore, but once you’re there, it’s all worthwhile. I’ve just spent the morning sorting out some things that can go to the charity store – moving is a GREAT excuse to have a good clear out and generally declutter.
If you love it, it comes with you, so over the years you end up with an interior full of only the things you truly cherish.
    Enjoy your new home!

what a lovely space! we are getting close to moving again, which will be the 16th time in the last 13 years for me. (we had a few year streak of having to move every 4-6 months–it was ridiculous)

Love the red lamp in all the white.
Moving is nice in a way, and exciting of course, but suddenly your home is all about furniture, textiles, books… when it should be about living.
    Enjoy your new living space!

    It looks wonderful!
I wish you lots of happiness in it.

Moving is tiring, but that feeling of having a new canvas to do with as you please….it’s energising and intoxicating.
And, yes, I’ve moved countless times….

That just looks divine! Congratulations, Irene! Have fun decorating!

Nice and big! Can’t wait to see it when you are all unpacked 🙂
I think moving is always exciting, but having kids compounds the logistics a lot! Used to be a breeze before the girls…

Looks super! Good luck, unpacking & making it feel like your home. Moving isn’t my favorite thing, but I like the ‘starting blanco’-part 🙂

The light is amazing. It looks like a really great place. We’ve moved 6 times in 9 years and I still find it exhausting but exciting too. I love being forced to edit my things and plan whole new looks.

    What a great space!
…And moving 8 times during 11 years! I only moved 3 times in the last 11 years. And that’s really enough for me 😉
Have fun giving your beloved things their right spot.

What a lovely white place you have! It’s already gorgeous with only the packed furniture, so I can’t wait until it’s unpacked and see the end result!
About moving… I’m in the middle of it right now… For the 5th time in 8 years. We moved to Brasil 8 years ago, moved twice within Brasil, 2 years ago from Brasil to Paris and now from Paris to the Netherlands. And I must admit that the last one was an easy (easier) one in a practical way (no sea freight packing!!!), but more difficult in an emotional way!
But in the end, I believe that a move definitely gives you energy, it’s challenging & rewarding too! Good luck with all the unpacking (I’m sort of done with the majority & the fun part can start!) & I’m looking forward to new posts & pictures!
    Liefs uit Nederland,

Congratulations on the lovely looking place!

I think I’ve moved around 23 times since I left home. So, no, I don’t enjoy it anymore – especially after the last few years during which I moved myself and my home business three times in just over two years, with the final move being over a very long distance to a different state. But I’ve now moved into somewhere I own for the first time and have no plans to go anywhere for quite some time!
